When I walked into Mudflat Pottery School in 1976 I never dreamt that I would become a potter. After a masters degree in Community Mental Health and five years working as an adolescent therapist, it never occurred to me that I had talent in any other field. But the first time I sat down at a potter's wheel, I knew I was hooked.

I hand build pieces from slabs of clay, creating simple forms that I use as a canvas of self-expression for my glazes and brushstrokes. I have been greatly influenced by the Japanese sense of design-simplicity and firing technique.
